It’s the start of week 14!
I’ve decided to tweak my program a bit from how I had it set up last week. Last week I started a power block. So I was using relatively light loads and I didn’t like the way I had it programmed so I consulted another strength coach and we landed on a kind of hybrid block.
I’m going to use relatively heavy loads and use post activation potentiation or PAP. Put simply, I’m going to lift something heavy and shortly after I’m going to do a body weight movement and produce more force than I otherwise would have due to the previous contraction.
I will still have other power movements in the program and I’m looking into a bar speed tracking device to get more objective feedback.
As far as throwing goes I’m back to feeling good again and I broke a bunch of my plyo throw records on Monday. This will eventually transfer to the mound once I get used to being on the mound again.
I’m going to test from the mound on Friday and I’m looking to be 93+ which would be up slightly from last week. So far I’m feeling good and I’m looking forward to the rest of the week.
Thank you for following me on my journey to the show and check back in on Friday!
