It’s the start of week 19!
Progress has been slow since coming back from surgery, but I know I’ve got to push through the disappointing days because a breakthrough is coming.
Last week I set a couple of plyo records, but my mound velo day was disappointing. It was more of an arousal issue than anything. The heat got to me and I couldn’t get my breathing and heart rate together to put on my best performance.
This week will be better as I’ve reduced the number of intense throwing days each week and gone to a VBT style of lifting.
Last week was my first week with my bar speed tracker and it was pretty cool. The goal last week on my main lifts was 0.75 m/s for 6 sets of 3. It felt great and I feel like increasing the speed I’m lifting at will lend itself well to speed on the mound.
I’ll get some videos of the lifting and throwing up this week and the goal off the mound this Friday is 93mph!
Thank you for following me on my journey to the show and stay tuned for an update this week!
