It’s the start of week 31!

It’s been a solid week so far. I’m deloading my throwing a bit, and changing my plan some. I’m getting back to more of what I was doing in July when I had a great start to this program. I was 92mph from flat ground in July and I haven’t progressed the way I should have since then, so I’ve been examining what changed.

I’m getting back to doing pulldowns, which I had gotten away from. I do mine from the stretch instead of a run and gun, and I think that had a lot of transfer to mound velocity, so I’m programming them back in. I’ll also be doing some of my plyo testing day from the mound instead of just flat ground.

As far as lifting goes I’m adding in more rotational med ball drills, jumping variations, and unilateral exercises. This offseason I gained a bunch of strength, but so far it hasn’t transferred to velocity yet. So I think I need more explosive work to use that added strength more quickly.
