It’s the start of week 36 and I haven’t posted in a few weeks. It’s been a crazy few weeks and writing got pushed to the back burner.

Anyway, I’m back to full effort with my throwing after needing to deload for a few weeks.

Yesterday I did my plyo testing and PR’d on my rockers with 79mph with the red ball, 87mph with the yellow ball, and I tied my PR with 91mph with the gray ball. In general all my numbers were pretty good yesterday as well.

My lift yesterday was upper body. I started with some med ball drills and then went on to lift with a mix of heavy weights and power movements. I’m feeling good and excited to keep getting after it.

I’m also going to be getting back to doing run and guns, which I had gotten away from. This is for a few reasons. I want to move more athletically through my delivery and I believe these help with that. Also, I think they help push an even higher level of intent than you can achieve from the mound, which will also be beneficial. And finally, when I made my biggest jumps in velocity run and guns had been a part of my program.

So Friday will be my first day back to those in a while and I’ll get some video and hopefully put up some solid numbers.
