It’s hard to believe it’s been 41 weeks!
This journey has been crazy so far. It’s been so up and down with little injuries here and there that have kept me from making the type of progress I expect. I took a much needed break last week when I went to Cuba and came back feeling refreshed and ready to crush my training.
Anyway, this is the beginning of a new block and it’s been a great start so far. Today was plyo testing and it was mediocre, but I was pain free which is a solid start. Getting pain free is the first step in terms of taking the brakes off and gaining velocity.
Training is going well too. I did some med ball throw variations and some reasonably heavy strength work. I took radar gun readings on the med ball throws, but the numbers could use some work. Getting more powerful is for sure where my velo gains are going to come from, in terms of the weight room.
I’m less explosive than I need to be to take my velocity where I want it to be. That’s my big focus moving forward along with some mechanical tweaks I’ll get into later in the week.
I know this was a relatively short post, but I’ll get back to posting more frequently.
Thank you for following me on my journey to the show, and check in for a new post later this week!
