It’s the start of week seven!

I slacked off on posting last week because I was traveling, hanging out with family, and rescuing a stray kitten. So this week I’m going to have more posts than previously.

Great start to the week so far, my deadlift didn’t go up in weight but I hit multiple sets of 445 this week, so I did set a rep record. I also improved my chin-ups this week so I’m feeling good about that because as I’ve said previously vertical pulling was definitely a weak point for me.

So far I’ve been very happy with the strength improvements I’ve made and I’m excited to retest some of my power numbers. I should see some pretty decent improvements.

This is also my third week back throwing so I’m still in the on-ramping phase of the program. I keep adding distance to my long toss and volume to my plyo care drills which is exciting. My arm feels strong and velocity seems to be coming relatively easily.

I can’t wait to get a radar gun and start seeing where I’m at, even at less than max effort. Slowly building can be tedious but I know it’ll pay off when I feel great at max effort in a few weeks. Here’s a video of walking wind ups:

I could use some more stiffness from my front side and t-spine extension, but I’d also like to see if these inefficiencies clean themselves up at max effort.

Thanks for checking in on my journey to the show and check out my homepage for my performance metrics. Check back later in the week for moe updates!
