It’s the start of week 8!
I know I didn’t get a second post up last week, but the end of the week was a bit frustrating so you guys didn’t miss much.
Anyway, this week is off to a great start! Yesterday was deadlift day and although my weight didn’t increase I continued to smoothly hit 445 for sets of 6, so I’m feeling strong! However, going forward my lifting volume is going to decrease some to make room for the sport specific portion of my training.
Also, my throwing volume and intensity has continued to increase and yesterday I was up to 90% max distance long toss and about 85% effort on pull downs. So with the relatively low intensity I was happy to consistently hit 90 with the 5oz ball! Here’s the video:
As you can see from the video the velocity came pretty easily and with relatively low effort which is very encouraging! I’m loving the program and I’m feeling strong and comfortable with my body weight, and that’s awesome because I’ve never been this heavy before.
