It’s the end of week 47!

It’s been a solid week of training, but I’ve still been working on getting my flexor feeling right. I’m starting to feel good again and I was able to work up to full effort today, so next week should be back to the plan. These tweaks get frustrating, but I know it’s just my body giving me information about weak points or areas that need improvement so I’m trying to look at it from that perspective.

Lifting has been going well and has been my way to feel like I’m still going hard even though I’m deloading my throwing. I’ve been playing around with doing some things the day before I throw to potentiate my power and I’m excited to test it out a bit more next week when I can hopefully be at full effort. The radar gun will give me a better idea about whether or not these movements are having the effect I think they are or not.

I’ve got my last lift of the week later today and I’m going to get some pretty cool video from it I think. I’m going to work up to a 500lb deadlift today, and on my sets prior to that I’m going to test my Push Band against a Tendo unit to see how close they are or aren’t in measuring bar speed. It should be pretty cool and I’ll be putting out those videos once I have them done.
